About the Winchester, MA Special Education PAC

What does the Winchester Special Education PAC do?

  • Provides networking opportunities for parents and guardians of chiIdren with special education needs.
  • Offers workshops and guest speakers to help members become better informed about special education issues.
  • Advises the school district on matters pertaining to the education, health and safety of students with disabilities.

  • Meets regularly with school and local officials to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of special education programs.

Who should become involved?

  • Parents or guardians of a child who is currently receiving and is being evaluated for special education services, either within or outside of the community.

  • Parents, guardians and educators who want to learn more about the resources available to them - therapists, workshops, testing, programs, camps, advocates, etc.
  • Parents or guardians who are looking for a support group that understands their issues and concerns.
  • Parents or guardians who have questions about special education issues - evaluation process, basic rights, IEPs and 504s, etc.
